10 September 2026 – Sarawak made history at the Malaysia Rocket CanSat Competition (MRCC) 2026, with two teams brought by TEGAS securing third place in their respective categories.
SMK Padungan placed third in the Rocket & CanSat 1KM category, while Sekolah Seni Malaysia Sarawak took third place in the Rocket 1KM category, competing among 104 teams, including international participants.
Both teams also qualified to represent Malaysia at The APRSAF-32 CanSat International Competition in Thailand, showcasing Sarawak’s growing talent in STEM and aerospace.
