21 August 2026 | Startup54 Bintulu officially began at TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub Bintulu, bringing together 70 students from Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak (UPMS), Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM) Bintulu and SMK Kidurong for an intensive 54-hour journey.
The programme started with participants taking the floor for their 60-second pitches and sharing their ideas before voting for the concepts to be developed further. Following the selection, 8 teams were formed, bringing together different skills and perspectives to take their ideas to the next stage.
With the first ideas pitched and teams in place, the 54-hour journey was officially underway.
