The Startup World Cup Malaysia 2025 – Kuching Final marked a historic milestone as the renowned global startup competition made its debut in East Malaysia, uniting the region’s brightest entrepreneurial talents for a high-stakes pitch showdown at TEGAS Digital Village.
Organised by Growth Charger, the official organiser of Startup World Cup Malaysia and proudly supported by Cradle as the Title Partner and TEGAS as the Strategic Partner, the event highlighted bold and innovative startups from across Borneo with aspirations to expand globally.
The event was officiated by Tuan Haji Udin Bujang, CEO of TEGAS, on behalf of YB Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh, Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment Sarawak, who also serves as Chairman of TEGAS.
In his message, the Chairman emphasized the event as a strategic avenue for connecting Sarawakian innovators to global opportunities, in line with the Sarawak Government’s Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030) and the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint.
Ten startups from Sarawak and Sabah pitched live, including five TEGAS alumni: EB Tech, Stinablis, Hornbill Agriculture, Maxeon, and OINC. The full lineup also featured AquFish PLT, HLink AI Healthcare, BioESGex, LJD Corporation, and MDaat Eco Wellness. Together, they showcased the strength of Borneo’s growing innovation ecosystem.
Congratulations to EB Tech, the winner of the Startup World Cup Malaysia 2025 Kuching Final! The team was awarded RM10,000 from Cradle and an additional RM10,000 from TEGAS, and will proudly represent East Malaysia at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale this October in Silicon Valley.
