10 student teams from across Kuching, Padawan, Samarahan, Serian, and Bau took their STEM journey to new heights during the second phase of the Sarawak Rocketeer CAN-SAT Challenge.
At TEGAS Digital Village, participants got hands-on with rocket motor assembly and launch system preparation, guided by experts from UiTM-MTC HEMREL, CENTEXS Sarawak Aerospace Academy, and Sarawak Skills.
Their hard work paid off at Politeknik Kuching, where 120-meter range rockets soared into the sky. It was a proud moment as students launched rockets they built with their own hands. For many, it was a powerful first-time experience that brought STEM learning to life and sparked new interest in the world of aerospace.
Next stop: the Grand Challenge at SCaT Fair 2025, where top teams will compete for a spot at the Malaysia Rocket Competition 2025 and a shot at the Spaceport America Cup.
