Borneo Makers Festival 2024 in Bintulu was officially launched by Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Yang Berhormat Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh, who’s also Chairman of TEGAS.
YB Datuk Haji Len said the Borneo Makers Festival, a collaborative effort with SABERKAS in Bintulu, garnered exceptional participation and widespread acclaim.
“Serving as an inclusive and dynamic platform, the festival brings together creative and innovative communities from diverse backgrounds, embodying the principles of the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy. With a strong focus on fostering talent and creativity, it seeks to empower and inspire youth, equipping them with the skills and mindset to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
“By championing the growth of Sarawak’s ‘Maker Culture’, the festival also plays a pivotal role in advancing socio-economic development, catalyzing innovation, and nurturing a sustainable and knowledge-driven economy,” he said.
