The official launch of PRO-DR 2025 in Semop was officiated by Yang Berusaha Tuan Zul bin Haji Usup, Pegawai Daerah Daro, representing YB Datuk Abdullah bin Haji Saidol, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs and UKAS), ADUN N.42 Semop, and Secretary of the TEGAS Board of Trustees.
In his speech, YB Datuk Abdullah emphasised the importance of building digital skills among rural youth to support Sarawak’s digital transformation agenda. He commended TEGAS and its partners for providing hands-on learning experiences to students through STEM and innovation programmes.
The launch featured a symbolic gimmick, the screening of PRO-DR’s 10-year journey video, and the handover of a Think & Tinker Mini Lab to SMK Semop to support students in exploring innovation and STEM education. Afterwards, the VIPs toured the Education and Career Expo, where students continued to explore various career and study opportunities.
